Resolutions - Because It's The Thing To Do

Hey gals.  How is everyone doing with their own list of resolutions? Did you make one?  Or are you one of those people who refuse to participate?  I'm in the first group - a definite list-maker.  Actually the whole resolution thing is probably the only thing I like about this time of year, (yeah, I'm one of THOSE people).

I still haven't completely sorted through everything, but I do have an outline made and some inspirational photos (from Pinterest of course - where else?).  So here are the beginnings:

House Stuff:

Herb Garden
Back Deck
Body Stuff:

Try Cross-country Skiing
Yoga
Jogging - and yes, maybe this IS me. :)

Drink more water
More fruit and veggies
Brain Stuff:

Read at least 1 Book Per Week
Write Daily (at least 15 minutes)
Edit Novel Draft
Love Stuff:

Spend more time with Gram

More Time With Lucas
Something Really Fun A Couple Times a Month With Hubby
Bloggy Stuff:

Thursday Linky Party (with Kadie of Seven Alive)
Develop schedule

Write Better

Kitchen Stuff:

Can a Few More Things from the Garden

Make Homemade Cheese
Crafty Stuff:

Learn to Quilt
Weekly Craft Project
Miscellaneous:

Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Repeat

Okay, I realize that last one isn't really within my grasp, but I'm keeping it on there anyway.

So what about you?  Care to share a few of yours?

Terry, nice read. The one resolution I should have made but didn't was to work on my landscaping. Maybe next year (smile)

I loved this! I can't wait to see your deck and your quilt. I'm really intrigued by the novel too. All of these are do-able and good for you. Well done. Have a great week. I have today off and then it's back to school for me. Oh well.

That deck is awesome! I hope that resolution comes true!

Are you going to let us read your novel?

I tore a page out of a Cabella's catalog a couple of weeks ago that shows a king size rag quilt that's going on my to-do list. I've made a couple of quilts in the past (not recently), you'll love it. I started with the quilting one block at a time method and loved it!

I should add the abs... and more cheese on my list for sure.... but not try and make it... just eat it.... probably not going to get those abs if i combine the two.... scrap that.... i'll just take the cheese.... abs are overrated anyways!

Wow that is quite a outline! I can't wait to hear the entire list. I should add a quilt to my list, and so many other things:). I do love that you have the Stanley Cup Repeat on your to do list.:)

Quite the ambitious one, aren't we? There's a lot here, but they all sound attainable. I'll take that deck while you're in building mode.
The Dad made cheese for the first time last month. Two batches and it was SUPER yummy.

I have never been one to make resolutions but this year I am giving a try.
Thanks for the additional inspiration.

I don't usually get too into the resolution thing. That way I don't disappoint myself when a couple of weeks into January I've already broken it. But you've inspired me with your pinterest inspirations. Maybe I'll come up with a few of my own this year~

Yeah, so... this is the 15-year plan, right? I need another winter break after just reading this list. :) It is inspiring though, and I am stealing some things from it. I am totally copying the photo of the herb beds -- that's a brilliant way to do it, so easy to get to. Is that what you actually have in mind for yours?

Hahahahaha, I love the last one.

Actually, I love a lot of these. That herb garden photo is gorgeous. I'm even tempted to try that, if I had boxes up higher instead of down on the ground. I'm just not a fan of getting down to dig, not to mention - condo living necessitates portable dirt.

Good luck with your plans! :D

Hi Terry,

Write everyday! You can do it!

Also, I want to spend more time with Gram, too. She looks awesome. Is that golf in the background?

Also, thanks for linking :)

Holy crap! That's quite a list!
Read a book per week? Umm, it takes me at least 5 months to finish a book. You're much faster than me.
