How much planning do you put into your blog? Do you follow a specific routine or outline? I don't follow a particular pattern, often I'm just trying to get things done so that I can post about them. I also don't have a big plan,.....yet.
I like to make a list of goals as we enter into fall. I find that in the summer I'm useless at getting things accomplished. I don't know if it's the hot weather, extra company and activities, or the laid-back feel of the season. Whatever the reason, fall becomes my time to get things done.
This fall I am going to focus on some changes for the blog. I was thinking of creating more of a schedule or outline. Something like: Monday = wild card day; Tuesday = craft; Wednesday = recipe; Thursday - photograph; Friday - something inspirational. I don't know,...needs to be tweaked, but you get the idea.
Any thoughts from you guys? Anything you would like to see more of? Less of? Any big ideas for your own blogs? Or still in summer mode? lol

Ummm, Terry... is that a Boston Bruins logo beside your blog url? Luckily I like you so much already or else!
I like your idea of creating a schedule for blog posts. In fact, I think it's an awesome idea. I bet will really make it a lot easier for you to plan and run your blog.
I turn into a heap of lazy in the summer. It's almost impossible for me to accomplish anything beyond reading. Like you, fall always finds me more productive and craving routine.
I'm certain you can tell that I've been flying by the seat of my pants with my blog, and I would like to take a leaf out of your book and get organized. I'm worried that I won't be able to live up to my own plans, though... so we'll see.
This is too long of a comment, but I'm really excited to see what you decide to do. As always, I'll be reading, my friend!
I have seen a few peoples blogs recently that are doing schedule type blogs... I do wonder if I should try it myself. It will be interesting to see how it goes.
I try to do a schedule, but I think I need to redo it. Lately, I'm feeling so stressed. It's probably Greg's surgery tomorrow and just summer in general. I'm so ready for Fall and for things to just settle down a little!
I think a schedule is a great idea. I feel the same way about fall as appear to. It must be a hold over from our schools days. My closets get cleaned, I change hair styles and sometime even make up.
But back to the schedule. As long as the schedule makes it easier for you to blog. Schedules can sometime create deadlines and therefore stress.
And we probably have enough stress. Having said that, I love having a schedule, I grocery shop on Monday, schedule dr. appts on Weds. Go to Weight watchers on Friday and follow that with a trip to my favorite Goodwill.
Can't wait to see what you do.

I too, have been considering the same thing. But then I ask myself if I want to commit to yet another schedule/timeline/to-do list item. Orrrr, would the schedule help? As I said, I'm going back and forth. Plus, what if I have a SUPER exciting thing to share on Monday and I have to wait until THURSDAY? lol I like when I have something to look forward to on other blogs, but I don't know if I could commit to it myself. Our Friday kid lunches may have to do for now.
At least now you know pretty much everyone who has commented has considered it or tried it, so it must be a popular thought. :o)
