Silver Bracelet

I tried, I really did try.  I tried to duplicate this jump ring trio inspiration piece from Cassidys Creations.

Even as I was about to type that it didn't work, I had to go try it again.  It didn't work again.  My fine motor skills just aren't strong enough for this type of detail as it turns out.  However, my digital mobility WAS good enough for a jump ring duo.

Two rings were still difficult until I found a trick.  I discovered a foam board and some sewing pins.  I anchored the end of the bracelet into the foam board with the blue pins, and then temporarily anchored the newest rings with the yellow pin.

When I added the next set of rings, I moved the yellow pin into the newest rings.  I kept moving the yellow pin along until it was finished.  This kept the rings from falling in on themselves and getting me mixed up.

Really that's all there was to it -- two rings in each set of two rings. The hardest part was resigning myself to two rings instead of three.  I wonder if I grew my nails, I would be able to do the three rings? Hmmmm.

I am so excited, thrilled, delighted, amused, overjoyed, elated,...well you get the picture,...to have this silver bracelet featured on A Creative Princess.  (Thanks Terri)

That's pretty cool- I've never tried making any type of jewelery but my kids are always making me some. I suspect I'll be getting some handmade creations on Sunday :) I'm going to show this idea to them!

That's a good example of tenacity! Your bracelet looks fabulous- just as good, I think, as the three ring type. Enjoy wearing it!

That really is so tricky! I guess the only way is to use an even smaller tool and a lot of patience. ;-)

I really enjoy reading about your projects!
