Lantern for Block Candle |
This is going on the new wall unit, somewhere. First I need to find a candle for it because it didn't occur to me to pick one up while I was right there in the candle section, surrounded by candles. D'oh!
Hangers |
We are always running out of nice hangers. We have plenty of wire hangers, you know the kind that give your blouses the lumpy shoulder syndrome? Yeah, not in the least bit attractive.
Bendable Chopping Board |
I got the red chopping boards. I like to have a separate board for meats and the red stands out in our kitchen. I also have the same board in white for fruits and a huge wooden one for the veggies.
Silicone Tongs |
I needed silicone-tipped tongs for my nonstick pans. Gary insisted these were awesome so I'm giving them a whirl.
As if Ikea wasn't awesome enough, we stopped on the way home and I was treated to pizza at The Express. Unbelievably yummy. We split one red pizza (prosciutto, artichoke hearts, black olives, mushrooms) and a white pizza (mozzarella, pancetta, arugula, red onions, asiago). They were both fabulous but we especially enjoyed the white pizza. What a great change from the usual.
To top off the day, my mom got me these flowers.
It takes a pretty amazing mom to make her 42-year-old daughter feel like a special little girl. Thanks mom. :)

Isn't Ikea the best! I'm always fascinated by their directional lines on the floor. You picked up some great stuff...love the lantern. I've been hearing about white pizzas for a while now, so I've got to try one.
Gosh, I wouldn't know if it's true that you can't leave Ikea empty handed -- never been to one. So jealous that you have a store within driving distance. The closest one to us in in Chicago, which is a 4-5 hour drive, depending on who's behind the wheel. I love all your goodies -- especially the lantern. And the daffodils. :)
Oh Becky, that is just so sad. You must come to visit so we can go to Ikea. :)
