Works In Progress (and Secrets)

Do you ever sit and stare at your dashboard, knowing that you still don't have a post for the next day?  Not even an idea for a post?  Me too.  Right now.  Yikes.

I've been working on my Valentine crafts for the exchange through Happy Hour Projects but I can't show those things yet because Carol-Anne hasn't received them yet (mostly because I haven't mailed them yet -- tomorrow, I promise).  So I've been busy, but have nothing to show.  :(

Or do I?  Would you like a couple of sneak peeks?  Of course you would.

Most of my spare time over the last two weeks has been spent on this afghan. I am using a blanket stitch (get it? blanket stitch? for an afghan? I'm the only one who thinks that's funny?  Okay, never mind).  Anyway, the plan is for it to go in our spare bedroom sometime next year when I finally finish it.  ;)  Bonus points if you can spot the cat hair in the afghan photo.

This is the back side of a little something that has been causing me big grief.  I have a couple of amendments to do before I can officially share.

(Carol-Anne, you should probably close your eyes right about,....now).  This is something that I will be sending to my Valentine so, of course, I can't do a big reveal just yet.

And another little Valentine project.  Sorry, but this one will have to remain secret for the time being as well.

And finally, I've been doing some photography practise.  We have had less than five snowy days this year, so I made sure to run out in the middle of the night (okay, it was only 9 pm) to take advantage of this winter wonderland.

So you see, I really have been doing stuff, I just haven't completed anything that I can share right now.

On an entirely different note, I was just wondering how many people have decided to search for an alternative to GFC (Google Friend Connect)?  I'm leery about diving into something new but I don't want to be left out either, lol, so I've installed the Linky Followers gadget in case you want to add your name to it.  If only I had a crystal ball to see what gadget everyone would be using this time next year.  Ah well, I'd probably just look up hockey scores or grocery store flyers with it anyway.

Ok, so howcome bits of cat always end up getting into pictures?! I had to scrap a whole bunch of photos the other day because they had Alfie whiskers and Cfer paws in them! lol

Am intrigued by all your crafting! Can't wait to see all the finished things!

Your snow shot is lovely, so atmospheric! :) We only had a few hours of snow here, and it's currently melting...boooo!

You have been busy!! It does stink when you have been really busy but can't show any of it. I had the same problem at Christmas. I can't wait to see all your finished projects! Your snow photo is beautiful. I always love to see photos of the snow.

I've got the same problem, working on everything, but nothing to show! I'm going to check out the linky follower gadget. You know I'll follow! I've seen a lot of them going up and thought about it, too. As usual, just haven't done anything yet!

Ooh, I love how that afghan is shaping up! (And it's dog hair at my house if I happen to take a project into the living room.)

Can't wait to see your finished projects... You are a tease, lol!

All your projects are intriguing, can't wait to see them finished! I have done nothing about the GFC problem, I don't know which bandwagon to jump on, so I'm left behind!

Not sure about the followers thing. Like you, I don't want to be left in the dust so I put the Linky Followers gadget on my sidebar. Who knows? Love your night picture. I can't wait to see the first afghan with the blanket stitch. Great colors.
