NANOWRIMO

What the heck is that?  Nanowrimo stands for National Novel Writing Month and it takes place every November.  For the entire month of November, writers will work to write 50,000 words before December shows its face.

Nanowrimo

Last year was my first year taking part in the madness, and I have to admit I got hooked on the adrenalin.  So starting this morning, I'm giving it another go.

As a neat twist this year, I found out that my friend Adrianne from Happy Hour Projects is a Nanowrimo veteran (I believe this will be her 5th novel), as well as a Municipal Liaison for her region.  She is a seriously busy and talented lady.

Anyway, at her awesome suggestion we decided to make up Nanowrimo care packages (maybe survival packages is a better name).  I sent mine to her yesterday, and I am hoping that customs doesn't get nosy and hold it up.  She sent hers out Friday so I am watching the mail everyday now, doing that little excited dance.  Yeah, the mail lady things I'm strange, but I'm so over it.

I'll be back to the regularly scheduled Tuesday recipe next week.  Promise.  :)

So excited! Just fixing up a couple things this morning and getting my shiny new laptop up and running in time for tonight's write-in but I have OFFICIALLY STARTED! Yeeha!

Good luck to you Terry! Today's goal: Start. Post excerpt. Can't wait to see yours!

Yay, good luck hitting the big 50k!
It's my second year of NaNo too. Sitting down and banging out a novel over the course of a month is such fun!

Sound like a lot of fun Terry! My daughter loves to write. Is it open to teenagers too?
